New Moon in Virgo: CREATIVE ORDER
September 9th, 2018  (at 2.01 pm EDT - 17 deg 00’)

This New Moon in the sign of Virgo is all about “getting it done” …

Virgo energy on its own is detail oriented and earthy anyway, but today’s New Moon has a lot of extra momentum for manifestation that you don’t want to miss!

The Sun/Moon conjunction at 17 degrees Virgo is in a trine with Pluto in Capricorn, a very harmonious aspect for making concrete changes in your environment, just in time for fall cleaning! This can also symbolize getting rid of things that no longer serve you regarding habits and routines … what patterns have you outgrown? What new routines do you want to implement in order to be more powerful in your chosen arena?

Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance, is at the midpoint between the new moon and Pluto, adding a very lucky edge to anything you commit yourself to now. Now is the time to start a new routine, exercise class, meditative practice, creative discipline, or any project that you are determined to bring into manifestation in a concrete way.

Mercury is moving fast now; it is now in its rulership in Virgo, making communication and mental energy clear and precise. This is great energy for clarifying and getting rid of what is superfluous and inappropriate. The critical energy of Virgo can now be utilized to get real without beating yourself up … this is a brand new start! Make a list, and get going, since this energy won’t last too long and you might miss it if you are being a perfectionist and “can’t see the forest for the trees.”

Lastly, there is a Grand Trine in EARTH signs between Mercury in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and Saturn in Capricorn. This adds an intensity to the next few days of moving things around until they are where they need to be … that can be quite literal, so make your work space more efficient, make lists of your goals for the next few months, plan that important project by breaking it down into manageable pieces, and go through your closet get rid of those articles of clothing that do not express the BEST of who you are. Go ahead … give them to charity! You KNOW who you are, so don’t settle for anything less than being and feeling your best.

New Moon Magick
The New Moon is the time to begin new projects;  whatever house it transits in the birth chart will be the prominent theme for the month.

Read the forecast for your rising sign as well as your sun sign for a more accurate interpretation of the new moon energies!

This New Moon cycle will be the best time all year to initiate a new diet or fitness regimen, to upgrade your daily routines and health habits, and focus daily on health and wellness goals through the waxing moon period (up to the next Full Moon). This is the best time all year to make positive changes in those areas of your life, so make good use of these energies! Issues involving co-workers and pets are also associated with the sixth house. This is the time to regain the truth of our original nature, where the only duty is to be ourselves.
SIXTH HOUSE: health, habits, routines, jobs and employment, diet, service to others, pets.

This New Moon cycle brings the best time all year to begin creative projects, as your wit will be sharp, and your love of beauty and pleasure will need some attention. Romance may be high priority this month! The New Moon in your fifth sector brings you out of yourself, when the need to shine is strongest. This house rules creative projects, children and child-like energy, drama,  entertainment, sports and recreation. This is also the house of romantic love! This house brings out our self-expression, and we may feel the need to be recognized at this time as someone special.
FIFTH HOUSE: romance, arts, entertainment, creativity, children, investments, gambling, fun.

This New Moon cycle finds you focused on your home and family, and could signify changes in the home environment. One or both parents may be more of a major focus than usual. A positive use of this energy is to focus on adding beauty to your "temple", both outer and inner. If you've been putting off beginning a regular spiritual practice, this would be an excellent time to begin. The New Moon in the fourth house is about integration: taking what you have learned and finding a way to apply it to your own life. This is also a time to just stop and take inventory of your own feelings, needs and dreams, and meditative practices can be especially beneficial at this time.
FOURTH HOUSE: home life, parents, remodeling, relocating, clearing old business, plans for the future.

This New Moon cycle will find you focused on making contacts, with correspondence, writing, electronics, computers and education featuring prominently. You can look into investigating these matters at this time. The New Moon in your third sector is a great time for research and fact-gathering of any kind, as well as making new changes in your immediate environment. This could be a great time to learn something new, since the third house relates to knowledge in general. This could be a very busy time, for this sector is also associated with communication, neighbors and siblings.
THIRD HOUSE: siblings and neighbors, writing, communications, speaking, everyday transportation, written tests, study, short trips.

Financial matters and what you value will be highlighted during this New Moon cycle; time to reassess where your true resources come from and to reconnect with your inner wellspring of wisdom. Simplify your life by creating order, so you can have more time to reconnect from within. Long-lasting changes can be implemented over the coming year, and will be a major focus for some time. The New Moon in your second sector is usually associated with finances, resources and values, but it is so much more than just that. It is also what we hope to possess as well as the attributes which, when developed, will give us a sense of worth and security. Make sure that you're not seeking external possessions
to the exclusion of developing your potential for true security that money cannot buy.
SECOND HOUSE: personal income, values, needs, resources, security issues, finances.

A NEW CYCLE! This New Moon period signals the beginning of your lunar cycle, and brings an opportunity for a new approach to life! The New Moon in the first house is also the luckiest time to make changes in your appearance, so take a chance. You'll also meet new people and encounter different situations, so make sure to always put your best foot forward. Look at how you want to come across for the upcoming year, and resolve to change your habits for the better as well! This is the best time all year to re-invent yourself, for this is the house of self-discovery. Mars, the planet of energy, is the natural ruler of the first house, so you'll probably have enough energy to accomplish all your goals! This is also a great time to try a new look, as well as begin a solid exercise program.
FIRST HOUSE: beginnings, the personality, the physical body, personal affairs and ventures.

This month marks the end of the Lunar Year for you, where you have one more month of working out the old issues during this New Moon cycle. This is a time to get ready to be reborn anew, during the New Moon NEXT month in your sign. Focus now on how you want to approach your next cycle, and work on removing any mental or psychological obstacles that stand in your way. The twelfth house rules the subconscious realm, and can be an excellent time for holistic healing work and many forms of therapy. The twelfth house represents the unconscious drives and urges that greatly affect our lives even when we are not consciously aware of them, as well as our desire to "return to the womb" and become "one with everything". A great time for spiritual and meditative practices, as well as all forms of therapy or holistic healing.
TWELFTH HOUSE: solitude, introspection, research and investigation, therapy, the subconscious realm, psychic abilities, dreams.

The New Moon and the following waxing cycle would be well spent initiating new contacts and establishing connections through friends or organizations, as the energy for networking will be especially prevalent now. This would be an excellent opportunity to enlist the cooperation of like-minded people to initiate creative projects or work to further humanitarian concerns. The New Moon in your eleventh sector represents the urge to move beyond the ego-identity to become something greater than what we are on our own. We can find this at times by identifying with something larger than ourselves, by identifying with an ideology, a group or a circle of friends. This is a time to re-evaluate how we function as a part of a whole, and how we feel about group dynamics in general.
ELEVENTH HOUSE: group activities, networking, friends, hopes and wishes, earned income, goals, community.

The New Moon and the waxing phase that follows it will see you in the spotlight, and career goals are highlighted now. Make good use of the preceding waning moon period, because once the New Moon kicks in, you'll be extremely busy with career or public obligations. The New Moon in the tenth house represents public image, status and career. Your most intimate life may also be on display, and you may find it difficult to hide things
about yourself. Because of your increased sensitivity, this is a good time for any type of public relations or activity. You'll be in spotlight, so make sure you put your best foot forward.
TENTH HOUSE: career, honors, business, public acclaim, role in society, authority figures, parents.

This New Moon cycle signals a time when you can access your inner resources and begin projects to bring your spiritual life into your everyday reality. Intense clarity is possible, as long as you are willing to look truthfully at your beliefs, and  resolve to exemplify them. The New Moon in your ninth house may find you needing time to reflect, and feeling like you need to "get away from it all". The problem is, you don't feel like leaving the comfort of the familiar, so these urges are difficult to balance. A good time to begin a course of study that expands your mind, that way you can stay surrounded by the familiar [Moon] while expanding your horizons [ninth house].
NINTH HOUSE: travel, spiritual or intellectual learning, teaching, philosophy, legal activities, publishing, expanding one's horizons, other cultures.

This New Moon cycle brings excellent opportunities to start a savings plan, find an accountant or incorporate a business. The foundation you build now will begin to bear fruit within 3-6 months, so plan well. The New Moon in your eighth sector can find your emotions more intense than usual... this is the house of merging, when you can feel the connectedness between everything and everyone. Pluto rules this sector, and you may be undergoing deep transformation beneath the surface. Be careful of possessive tendencies during this time... focus instead on finding connectedness through compassion for all.
EIGHTH HOUSE: joint resources, financial dealings with others, legacies, inheritance, merging, death, sex, subconscious complexes, surgery.

This New Moon cycle is a good time to focus on creating more healthy relationships, as well as resolving to work through issues of intimacy vs. individuality. The New Moon in your seventh house of partnerships may find you more emotional than usual regarding your personal relationships. Loved ones and partners provide you with a sense of security, and you feel like you want them to lean on you as well. This is the best New Moon cycle all year to work on your relationships, as well as focusing on partnership during ritual or meditation.
SEVENTH HOUSE: personal and business partnerships, cooperation, teamwork, marriage, bringing something to the public.
